Fall 2016
This was my first semester back after living in Japan for a year and it was probably one of the hardest. For months after returning, I experiences terrible reverse culture-shock. Even though I was in Japan for only a year and that I lived in the same town for all my life, I had a hard time readjusting. It also made it worse that I suffered from a bit of depression from saying goodbye to my study abroad friends. However, soon enough, life returned to normal and I was back at CSUMB for the second to last semester. This semester was pretty good, it was not too difficult nor too easy. It was also one of the first times actually teaching a class for my Service Learning course. Being a teacher has been something I've always wanted to become and even though the experience had it ups and downs. I still want to pursue that dream. After that course, I feel more ready to handle a classroom, engage students, and create fun activities do and I look forward to teaching in Japan now. Also during this semester, I started my Capstone project, which I would be working on until the end of Spring 2017. This project is large and requires both a English and Japanese version of the presentation, paper, and survey.
