Spring 2016
My second semester at Ritsumeikan, was just as great as the first. While there, I felt that my Japanese had approved greatly as I was able to use daily and in a more comfortable setting. I was actually every surprised that I never experience that culture-shock or the homesickness to the extent that was describe to me. I only has one or two instances of each and the rest of time it felt like I had always lived there. During this semester, I had taken the time to travel more. I went to Tokyo, Nagoya, Okinawa, the small town of Zao (for the fox village) and even South Korea. Every adventure I went on, holds a special spot in my heart, as they are amazing moment that I was able experience with friends that live far away, and see places that I never thought about going before. I was not ready for when it was time to leave and return to California. It was so heartbreaking to see my friends leave one by one, not knowing when or if we'll ever be able to meet again, but luckily we all still keep in touch through post cards and messages.
